HOW IT'S PLAYED |
|
| What You Do: | There are 35 Bowl games that comprise the NCAA Division I College Bowl schedule:
The New Mexico Bowl beginning December 17 to the BCS Championship January 9. Each entry will choose who they think will win each of the 35 bowl games on the schedule. Entries will also rank each selection each game based on how confident you are in choosing the winner correctly. (There is a catch. Read on) 1.) If you choose the winner correctly, you will receive the points that you assigned for that game. 2.) Any incorrect selections subtract the points you assigned for that game. Example: LSU vs Alabama (BCS Championship Game): You are extremely confident that LSU will win the game so you choose LSU and assign a point value for that series of 5 points. If LSU wins, you receive 5 points towards your overall pool point total. If LSU loses, 5 points is deducted from this entry for this game. The other games follow the same format. See "Points Distribution Section" below for how much the point values are for each game |
Points Distribution: |
Choose a value for each game based on how confident you are of your selection winning. Below is the breakdown for each game: NON BCS BOWL GAMES: 3 points- Most Confident 2 points: Somewhat Confident 1 point: Least Confident ALL BCS BOWL GAMES AND ROSE BOWL (5 GAMES): (Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, BCS Championship Game) 5 points: Most Confident 4 points: Somewhat Confident 3 points: Least Confident NOTE: Maximum number of points you can earn in the entire pool is 115 points. |
| Winners: | The player who accumulates the most points after all the bowl games are complete will be declared the College Bowls Challenge champion. Tiebreaker 1: Of the entries tied, the entry that has the highest number of correct picks will be declared the winner. Tiebreaker 2: If tiebreaker 1 does not determine a winner, the total number of points scored by both teams in the BCS Championship game will be used to break the tie. The entry that is closest, high or low, wins the tiebreaker and is declared the winner. If there is still a tie after both tiebreakers, the payout will be split among those entries still tied. |
